While the majority of Rangers and Celtic supporters do not get involved in sectarianism, serious events have occurred over the years.

Which is why members of parliament – the professional ones anyway – usually make sure they are above base sectarianism.

So it’s hard to put into words just how stupid Tory MSP Murdo Fraser’s tweets were after today’s Old Firm match:
